Transformers Headmasters ROM walkthrough v1.0 1. First unzip all the FWNES files, disk system ROM and Headmasters ROM to the same directory. If you're using PKUNZIP, make sure to use the switch that unzips the directories stored in the FWNES ZIP file. I believe the switch is -r. For WINZIP users, this will be done automatically. 2. Fire up FWNES by going to the directory in which you stored the files and type "FWNES" (without the quotes). 3. You'll come to the main menu. You can change settings and such by selecting an icon and hitting ENTER. If you don't know what something is, DON'T CHANGE IT. 4. Go to the FILE load screen. That would be the monitor icon. Find the Headmasters file (called trnsfrmr.fds) and hit ENTER. 5. You'll now find yourself at the Famicom Disk System startup screen. To start the ROM, press the F5 key (which loads the sides of the disk). 6. When it comes to the Transformers The Headmasters main screen, press the F6 key to change from side A to side B and press F5 twice to load side B. 7. You will come to a name entry screen. Here is a list of keys to get you through this a. HOME - toggles through the options b. INSERT - selects an option c. DELETE - used for naming your game 8. After you're done naming your game, go to your name entry and press INSERT. 9. You should now be at the planet select screen. The selections are EARTH, CYBERTRON, JAIL (since when do TF's get arrested hehe), SAVE, and RETRY. Use HOME to make a selection and press the INSERT key. 10. Now you are playing as Chromedome (I thought it was Hot Rod but I was told I was wrong). I only played this game for a few seconds but I found that DELETE is used to fire diagonally, END fires straight horizontally, and INSERT goes to a menu at the top of the screen. If I find any more info on this game, I'll be sure to post it. 11. If the game doesn't work when you try these steps, you may be using to wrong 6502 core. Press ESCAPE to go back to the main menu and try going to NES TIMING/EMULATOR SETTING. Select SETTING 6502 CORE and hit "0" (without the quotes) to set it to FMS M6502. After that's taken care of, repeat the necessary steps to get you back to playing the game. Have fun and good luck!
